My next painting project; the dates are set:
After my father's September 9th wedding,
I am going to Charlotte to spend a few days/ week with my grandmother,
recording her in paint and video the whole time.
things to do with grandmother: listen to a pandora station with one of her banjo bands she always listened to when we were kids. it'll be exciting to see her react to songs that she remembers.
a bit nervous she may be overwhelmed, but you have to assume someone would enjoy talking about their past, having someone care enough to listen, right?
also going to bring one of those giant crayola sets and a fancy coloring book. see if she still has crazy coloring skills like she did when we were kids...
